Ok where did I leave off? Oh hell the psychological causes. Well this is a big subject, many many things can cause erectile or orgasm issues in both men and women. Let's just cover some of the most common in men today.

One of the most common reasons for erectile or orgasm issues is anxiety. Men tend to view a sexual session as a performance piece, and thus they are on stage. So in a way they end up with stage fright. Another reason for it is getting back in the saddle, or meeting someone new. I hear it allot, "I don't know if it still works", "Am I even desirable?" "It's been a long time". These are some the catch 22's men get them self in to. Don't over stress! Its just sex, the cool thing is if you screw it up? You get to do it again... In some of these cases you may want to practice. That's when you would call a surrogate, someone that won't impose pressure on you, and perhaps teach you how to relax beforehand, kind of preparation exercises. But the one thing is to remember not to pressure yourself. Don't build it up out of proportion. Anxiety can come from your partner sometimes as well. It is one cause for low self esteem most often found in the man. Stress, anxiety and low self esteem are the 3 leaders in erectile/orgasm issues period. And usually are caused by something so simple that has been blown out of proportion...So remember talk to you partner. Tell them how you feel. Take it slow, and if you should have a problem, do it again! If all else fails there are some exercises you can do to help relieve stress and if nothing else call your therapist, surrogate or doctor and have a talk.
